Should Christians eat organic?

I know I know, big city liberals eat this but doesn’t mean its lame…

There isn’t necessarily a biblical mandate for Christians to eat organic food, but there are a few reasons why some Christians might choose to do so:

  1. Health: Some people believe that organic food is healthier because it is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, which can be harmful to both the environment and to human health.
  2. Environmental stewardship: Christians are called to be stewards of the Earth and its resources. Eating organic food can help protect the environment by reducing the amount of synthetic chemicals used in farming and promoting sustainable agriculture practices.
  3. Animal welfare: Some Christians may choose to eat organic food because it is produced using more humane methods of animal husbandry. Organic farmers are required to provide their animals with access to the outdoors, which can promote better animal welfare.
  4. Social justice: Eating organic food can support small farmers and promote economic justice by helping to create a more equitable food system.

Ultimately, the decision to eat organic food is a personal one and there isn’t one “right” answer. What’s most important is to make informed choices about what we eat and to strive to live in a way that is consistent with our values.
